Genome Editing 2021: Land, Air, and Sea
The 2021 Texas A&M Genome Editing Symposium will be held in the Gates Ballroom at the Memorial Student Center on Thursday, October 28nd from 10am-5pm. This year’s event will be themed Land, Air, and Sea. Invited keynote speakers, with representatives from both academia and industry, will present on a wide array of topics regarding genome editing in organisms that inhabit all the various components that make up our planets’ ecosystems. We will also be hosting graduate student Lightning Talks where students will have the opportunity to present their research for cash prizes. Our event will conclude with an open panel Q&A discussion and a social event at Mo’s Pub and Grill.

About the Symposium
The Texas A&M Genome Editing Symposium is an annual, graduate student organized research symposium with the intention of bringing together individuals interesting in agricultural genetics.
Our event will be held in the Gates Ballroom at the Memorial Student Center on Thursday, October 28th from 10am-5pm. Leaders in the field of genome editing will present on recent developments in organisms that inhabit a diverse array of habitats. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with our speakers during an open panel Q&A discussion. We are also encouraging graduate students to participate in our Lightning Talks, in which each student will have five minutes to explain their research with a maximum of three slides.
